Launched in 2010, we developed the Metercheck for MeterLogik Ltd.
The Metercheck tool has a probe which rests on the meter casing for a period of 15-30 seconds as it collects the vibrations from the meter via an accelerometer.
In real-time on the Metercheck these vibrations are immediately digitalised, analysed and compared to previous algorithms to determine whether or not the meter is working correctly.
The operative receives an immediate red/green light signal from the Metercheck indicating the meter condition.
Results are automatically stored in the Metercheck for future retrieval and / or download to a central database.
Below are samples of the actual meter recordings collected with the MLK tool.
This is the sound of a good water meter.
This is the sound of a faulty water meter.
We chose these example as the differences in the two sounds are easy for the human ear to detect, most other signals are far harder to differentiate, which is where Tespar technology plays an essential role.
