If you have a signal processing application such as a process or equipment that needs monitoring or classifying, then we can provide you with an robust and cost effective solution. We can provide a software only solution that can be implemented within your current hardware or provide you with a complete product solution (i.e. software & hardware including sensors).
If you are unsure whether your problem requires a signal processing solution, ask yourself the question, 'Can my problem be addressed by using some kind of sensor to monitor / listen / record the event of interest?'. If the answer is yes, then it is likely that we will be able to help you. We can process signals from virtually any sensors including vibration (accelerometer), ultrasonic, infra-red, pressure, temperature, nucleonic, capacitance, microwave, geophone, hydrophone etc. Plus combinations of these sensors by applying data fusion techniques.
In terms of our signal processing expertise - we have been developing signal processing solutions for over 20 years. We use our proprietary signal processing techniques called TESPAR (Time Encoded Signal Processing and Recognition) along with traditional signal processing techniques (such as Fourier-based techniques, wavelets etc). This provides a comprehensive range of methods that can tackle and solve virtually any problem.
DSP - digital signal processing – has many applications across multiple business sectors. Below are some of the application areas for which we have developed solutions:
Ashley Elkins (Tespar dsp Technical Director and Collaborative Research Fellow at Huddersfield University) and Dr. Ian Harvey (Senior Tespar Consultant) have over 34 years combined experience of successfully applying Tespar signal processing technology across numerous sectors. We use rapid prototyping tools in a stage-gated approach to quickly develop working solutions. We interface with clients throughout each stage of project development to ensure that objectives are achieved economically. Clients appreciate the flexible, stage-gated low-risk development model, resulting in Tespar dsp producing a wide range of implementations. These range from fully bespoke hardware and software solutions through to applying the Tespar signal processing software in the spare processing capacity of the client’s existing system.
In addition to the Tespar development performed for our commercial clients, Ashley is also working with Professor Andrew Ball and his engineering department at Huddersfield University (Andrew is Professor of Diagnostic Engineering and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise - view Andrew's biography). Our links with Huddersfield University enable Tespar-based collaborations to be established with commercial organisations who would benefit from utilising the comprehensive engineering test facilities available at the University.
